The Aviva Series returns to Scotland on Saturday 28 January 2012 as the Aviva International Match rolls in to Glasgow for another year of world class athletics.
Britain's best athletes will go head-to-head with teams from around the world in a unique format that has taken place at Kelvin Hall since 2003. The Aviva International Match gives you the opportunity to watch the world's elite athletes compete on British soil for the first time in 2012, and if past events are anything to go by, get set for an exhilarating afternoon's action.
This incredible event provides entertainment for the whole family, both on and off the track. Make sure you choose your team in the opening ceremony and support them the whole way through the event. Word of warning – don’t leave your seat too soon or you will miss the trophy presentation to the winning team at the end of the match!
In the exhibition area the Aviva Dome is open to the public and is full of fun activities for both adults and children, including a host of games and activity for the whole family to enjoy.
UKA sponsor Alfa Romeo is also on site with their popular simulator – experience a ride in a real Alfa Romeo sports car – open for all adults and kids alike.
You might be hungry for the action on the track, but away from it you can settle those stomachs with a wide range of food and drinks from the exhibition area.
And of course, UKA mascot Spike will be at Kelvin Hall all day to meet fans – make sure you say hello to him.
Choose your team, sit back and enjoy the show!

Kelvin Hall, in the heart of Glasgow, has witnessed many athletics greats taking to the track and field through the years.
The first British athletics team competed here in 1988 when they took on long term rivals France initiating a stream of competitive teams arriving in Scotland to take on GB&NI, including Germany, Russia and USA.
The five match format, used for competition today, was initiated in 2003 – seeing five national teams compete against each other across a host of disciplines.
The Aviva GB&NI team have won the title twice over the last ten years and this year’s team will be looking for a third victory in 2012.
With world-class competition comes world-class athletes and Kelvin Hall has played host to numerous greats in the sport including Olympic pole vault champion Yelena Isinbayeva for Russia, former Olympic triple jump champion Christian Olsson for Sweden, 3000m world indoor champion Bernard Lagat and his US compatriot and Olympic 110m hurdles medallist David Oliver.
The British athletes have an impressive record in Glasgow with highlights from Jason Gardener, who crossed the line first in the 60m four times since 2003 only to have his winning run taken from him by his then training partner Craig Pickering who in turn remained undefeated between 2007 and 2010. European champion, Mark Lewis-Francis who finished in second place in the 60m back in 2003, picked up a hugely impressive win amongst a strong field last year.
Also in 2011, former World and current European champion Jessica Ennis defeated the USA's Lolo Jones in the women's 60m while Tiffany Porter made her Aviva GB&NI team debut in the same event. Having won the title in 2010, the Aviva GB&NI team were eventually pipped to the post by a strong German team in 2011 with captain Raul Spank (high jump) leading his side to an impressive victory.
