Farah - looking good going into Beijing

Mo Farah (Newham & Essex) has shown solid form in recent weeks over 3000m and will compete in the first round of the 5000m staring next Wednesday (20 August).

Despite the obvious challenge from the African nations, Farah showed at the World Championships in Osaka that in a championship race anything can happen, finishing 6th in a high quality field.

Farah made one of his biggest career breakthroughs when he became the second fastest British athlete ever over 5000m, his time of 13.07.00 only surpassed by one man - so visit our Hall of Fame section to read about the career of Dave Moorcroft
