Every Olympic and Paralympic year has the same outcome, fantastic performances, memorable imagery and iconic moments that remain in the memory for decades to come.

In 1984 it was no different. At the start of the year who had heard of the young South African athlete Zola Budd, by the end of the Olympics who HADN'T heard of the latest addition to the GB team.
