IAU World Trail

Two former World champions have been named in the Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland Team fior next month’s IAU World Trail Challenge.

2006 World 100k champion Lizzy Hawker (Road Runners Club) and 2000 World Mountain Running champion Angela Mudge (Carnethy) have been named as the women’s team for the event which takes place in Serre Chevalier, France on 12th July.

Allen Smalls (Colchester Harriers) and Andy Rankin (Muddy Mucky Monkeys) who were third and eighth respectively in the UK 100k Championships in Galway, Ireland in March make up the men’s team. Anne Wilson is the team leader and Norman Wilson is team coach.
