Aviva GB & NI Team Additions

UKA today confirmed the remaining selections to the Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland team set to compete at the Spar European Team Championships in Stockholm, Sweden 18-19 June.

Conrad Williams (coach: Linford Christie) and James Shane (coach: Martin Brown) will line up in the 400m and 1500m respectively, filling the final team spots following on from Tuesday’s announcement.

Williams has had a strong start to his 2011 outdoor season and tops the current McCain Power of 10 rankings with a 45.71 run in Geneva at the end of May. James Shane – who will make his Aviva GB & NI debut is also in excellent form having ran a lifetime best of 3:39.11 in Huelva, Spain last week and taking the win in the 1500m race at the Loughborough International match.
