Call for Coach Tutors

UKA

03 March 2009

The future development of all our athletes will depend upon quality coaches. High quality coach education is an essential part of this development. The launch of the new UKCC courses across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, following on from the success in Scotland, means tutors will be needed to deliver the exciting new courses.

To work as a tutor you will need to be a qualified level 2 coach, have relevant coaching experience across a range of age groups and be available to work at weekends. Most of all you need to demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive approach when delivering training and a real desire to share your knowledge and experience with others. Training will be provided and you will be expected to attend this. After initial tutor training you will be mentored by and work alongside experienced tutors.

Interested? Then contact your Home Country Coach Education Manager and ask them for an application form and person specification alongside an outline of the application process. This will need to be returned to the HR Department at UKA by the following dates:

Wales, Northern Ireland, South West and Midlands – 6 March 2009

Northern and Southern England – 27 March 2009

Working with new coaches can be a demanding, yet challenging and rewarding experience. They are the future of our sport and this is an opportunity for you to make a real difference to athletics in the UK.
