Sayers to Miss Euro Throws

British record holder Goldie Sayers (Belgrave Harriers) has withdrawn from the European Cup – Winter Throws event in Los Realejos, Tenerife on 14-15 March, as a precautionary measure due to a slight elbow injury.

Goldie Sayers said:

“Unfortunately, I snagged my elbow slightly in training recently and have decided to withdraw as I can’t afford to jeopardise my outdoor season, as it’s an important year for me. I’m looking forward to building on a successful 2008 season and working towards the World Championships in Berlin.”
