Former Olympic bronze medallist and reigning Commonwealth Games Heptathlon champion Kelly Sotherton has been ruled out of the 2010 season with a back injury.

She said: “I’m extremely disappointed not to compete this year, there are some great events coming up this summer and I wish my Aviva GB&NI teammates the best of luck. I fully intend to compete in 2011 and am working towards that.”
