National Coaching Conference

Coach Education

20 November 2009

UKA and England Athletics have announced an extension on the deadline for booking tickets to attend the National Coaching Conference. With some of the best coaches in the world in attendance, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

There are still a few places remaining for the conference in Birmingham and bookings will be left open until Monday 23rd November.

The event will be held in three locations, in the North (Sheffield - 29 November), Midlands (Birmingham - 6 December) and South (Lee Valley - 5 December). The conference format is almost identical at each so that coaches can pick the venue most convenient for them.

You can save £10 off your ticket by booking online: www.englandathletics.org/coaching-conferences

England Athletics Head of Coaching Richard Wheater said:  “We have a fantastic line up and are looking forward to welcoming club coaches from across country to join in the highly interactive and interesting day."

The day will kick off with a key note from Loughborough Performance Centre Director Derek Evely who will talk on physical preparation. Physical preparation is the theme for the day and will be referenced within every session. After a group introduction, there will be an event group workshop. After lunch are event-specific workshops and a group roundtable discussion. Lee Valley Director Dan Pfaff will give a keynote speech at the end of the day.

Event dates:
  • Sheffield (29 November)
  • Lee Valley High Performance Centre (5 December)
  • Birmingham (6 December)
