Athletics has been buoyed by the inclusion of two World Champions in this year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards top ten.

Mo Farah (Alberto Salazar) and Dai Greene (Malcolm Arnold) take their places with the top three and eventual winner being announced on the evening of Thursday 22 December.

Last week the BBC announced Paralympic athlete Sally Brown as featuring in the shortlist of their Young Sports Personality award, making it a hat-trick of nominations for the nations favourite Olympic and Paralympic Sport.
