Winter Selection Policies

UKA have announced the selection policies for this winter focusing on the European and World Cross Country Championships.

Aiming to continue the forward momentum for UK endurance running is an important focus - looking to build on the achievements of our most successful European Cross last winter and this summer’s World championships in Berlin, UKA will again look to support the Aviva Great Britain & Northern Ireland teams at this winter’s major cross country championships.

The European Cross Country Championships in Dublin, Ireland on 13th December 2009 is UKA’s main focus prior to Christmas and for that reason UKA has taken the decision not to support the Chiba Ekiden Relay.  Being so close to the domestic cross country trials and the European Cross means that UKA will be unable to send its strongest teams to the event.
