IAAF aTHLETES' Representative REGISTRATION FOR AGENTS

REGISTER AS AN APPROVED IAAF AUTHORISED ATHLETE REPRESENTATIVE

IAAF ATHLETE REPRESENTATIVES

Only approved UKA Athlete Representatives can make an application to become an IAAF Athlete Representative.

Athletes may use the services of an Athletes’ Representative (AR) to assist them in the negotiation of their athlete, contracts and competition programme. The IAAF has established that athletes ranked in the top 30 of the IAAF world list (of their respective event) may only use the services of an IAAF Authorised Athletes’ Representative.

Athletes that are not in the IAAF Top 30 list are also allowed to use the services of any Authorised Athlete Representative. In order to become an IAAF Authorised Athlete Representative individuals are asked to undergo an evaluation process which will take place in December every two years. The process will be based around establishing the education and knowledge in key areas of the sport of Athletics and of the Athlete Representative activity in particular.

The evaluation (examination) is in English and will consist of 48 multiple questions where a pass rate of 75% is required. Candidates for the evaluation are only accepted by the IAAF by application from UK Athletics.

Please find further information from the International Association of Athletics Federations website. http://www.iaaf.org/athletes/athlete-representatives

The date of the next evaluation will be TBC December 2018.
