The 2019 runbritain 'Click Your Clock' season has seen an incredible 25 consecutive weeks where over 1000 participants have hit the grass, road or track and clicked their clock.

The figure is up on last year, where there were 10 consecutive weeks of more than 1000 participants in action at licensed events up and down the country.

The final runs of the year, which took place over the last seven days, saw just shy of 1100 people out on the course with just under half of those improving their score.

In total, over 30,000 people clicked their clocks over the course of the 25-week period, with more than 14,000 improving their score over that time.

Final figures of entrants and improvers are yet to be confirmed but it is expected that the number will see the largest number of entrants and athletes making improvements since its inception in 2012.

Click Your Clock boasts an uptake of around 10,000 participants each year following an initial surge of 13,000 when it was first launched and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

The initiative has also gained international acclaim after winning the European Athletics Innovation Award in 2016 for it's approach to helping compare runners up and down the country based on a handicap scoring system.
