Cardiff to host british half marathon championships

Now in its 11 year, the flat and fast Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon will host the British Half Marathon Championships on a course that is perfectly suited for first-time runners and elites alike.

Forming part of the Run Britain Grand Prix Series, this year’s race is taking place on Sunday 6thOctober will host the 2013 British Half Marathon Championships, which will feature some of the best runners from across the UK alongside a talented international field. Spectators can expect a first-class field with the course record under threat, on a course that takes in some iconic Welsh landmarks. The race also boasts a fantastic atmosphere as up to 20,000 runners and 40,000 spectators’ line the streets of the Welsh capital.

Having grown to become the second largest half marathon in the UK, Wales’ largest road race and a multi-charity fundraising event, the Lloyds TSB Cardiff Half Marathon is also expanding to incorporate an extra day on Saturday 5th October. Sign up for the2.4 km family fun run, the mile road race or simply enjoy the come & try street 100 metres races and the Welsh Road Mile Championships.
