British Athletics’ world-leading coaching resource is constantly being updated with great new content. Here’s a look at some of what’s new on uCoach:

Pierre-Jean Vazel: A History of Sprinting

In his two part lecture on ‘A History of Sprinting’, delivered at the European Sprints and Hurdles Conference at Warwick University in 2012, Pierre-Jean Vazel talks about the entomology of the word ‘sprint’. Vazel, who has coached two sub-10 second sprinters Olusoji Fasuba and Ronald Pgonon, then goes on to discuss how sprint training and methodology has evolved.

Anatoliy Bondarchuk: Reaching Peak Condition (part 3)

Dr Anatoliy Bondarchuk further discusses the implementation of his unique style of programming to the Hammer throw. Dr Bondarchuk looks at how the program was developed and why, with a particular focus on achieving peak condition and how this is identified. He talks specifically about peaking for certain competitions and championships and how Dylan Armstrong, who was coached by Bondarchuk, dealt with travelling to competitions and finishes with a technical hammer discussion.
