Hengelo, Holland, June 8

European Junior 100m champion Chijindu Ujah (coach: Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo) had a sensational breakthrough and the 20 year-old jumped from 26th to third in the all-time British rankings behind Linford Christie (9.87) and James Dasaolu (9.91) when he finished second in 9.96 behind Richard Thompson's 9.95.

It was a European under-23 record and puts him joint top of the European rankings.
Former world junior champion Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (Rana Reider) equalled his PB of 10.08 to finish fifth and James Ellington (Reider) was ninth in 10.18 and also inside the European Championships standard.

Olympic long jump champion Greg Rutherford (Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo) ran 10.44/0.4 in his heat.
Rutherford was in better form at his speciality and he jumped a world class 8.24/1.1 to miss winning by a single centimetre.

Martyn Rooney (Reider) was fourth in the 400m in 45.68.

Multi World Championships finalist and Commonwealth Games silver medallist William Sharman (Jerzy Maciukiewicz) continued his superb form with a top class win in 13.32/1.6.Lawrence Clarke (Malcolm Arnold) set a season's best of 13.41 in third ahead of former world champion Jason Richardson and he easily bettered the European Championships qualifying mark of 13.50.

European 800m champion Lynsey Sharp (Rana Reider) finished fourth in a PB 2:00.09 to go top of the Power of Ten rankings and better the European Championships qualifying mark of 2:00.50.
Former world medallist Jenny Meadows (Trevor Painter) finished fifth in 2:00.51 to miss the European mark by a hundredth of a second and go second in the UK rankings.

Laura Muir (Andy Young) set a big 1500m PB in 4:02.91 to finish second and go second in the Power of Ten rankings. Hannah England (Bud Baldaro) was ninth in 4:05.27 and better the European qualifying mark of 4:07.00

Yamile Aldama (Frank Attoh) went top of the Power of Ten triple jump rankings with a leap of 13.85/2.0 which placed her seventh. Tiffany Porter (Reider) was second in the 100m hurdles in 12.87/0.9, down on her UK ranking-topping 12.65. Asha Philip (Christine Bowmaker) was sixth in the women's 100m in 11.33/-0.7.

UK Women's Premiership League, Birmingham, June 7

Over 200m, Dina Asher-Smith (John Blackie) broke the 23 second barrier for the first time with a 22.98/0.0 clocking. That puts her a very close second in the world junior rankings and top of the Power of Ten under-20 rankings and puts her fourth on the under-20 all-time lists.

Hanna Tarver (Stuart Hogg) won the 800m in a PB 2:02.13 though that only puts her eighth in a closely packed Power of Ten ranking lists. Serita Solomon (Lloyd Cowan) was close to her season's best in the 100m hurdles with a win in 13.40.

UK Premiership Men's League, Birmingham, June 7

Chris Clarke (Steve Fudge) went third in the men's 200m Power of ten rankings with his clear win in 20.57/0.0 but just missed the British Athletics' European Championships qualifying standard of 20.55.

Chris Baker (Sharon Heveran) achieved a PB 2.28m in the high jump, which was held indoors. It equals the European Championships qualifying standard and puts him second in the Power of ten rankings for 2014.

Allan Hamilton (John Scott) smashed his PB in the long jump with 7.81/1.7 which puts him fifth in the Power of Ten rankings and is a Scottish Commonwealth Games qualifying mark.

Brett Morse (Andy Brittan) continued his good form to win the discus with 69.60m. In the pole vault, World youth champion Harry Coppell (John Mitchell) finished fourth with a season's best leap of 5.20m and 16 year-old Adam Hague (Trevor Fox) won the B event with the same height of 5.20m, which is also a World junior qualifier though the latter has a higher mark from the indoor season.

European Cup 10,000m, Skopje, Macedonia, June 7

British athletes struggled in the warm conditions and none of the five-strong team improved on their season's bests.

In the men's Dewi Griffiths (Kevin Evans) was 14th overall in 29:36.63 and Matt Hynes (Stan Markley) 15th in 29:37.19 while Callum Hawkins (Robert Hawkins) was one of 14 men who dropped out.

Rhona Auckland (Joyce Hogg) was 12th fastest woman in 33:28.74. Lily Partridge (Mick Woods) was one of seven women who dropped out.

Regensburg, Germany, June 7

Sean Safo-Antwi (Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo) finished second in the 100m in 10.14/0.9 and that puts him equal fifth in the Power of Ten rankings. Also inside the European Championships standard of 10.20 was Deji Tobais (Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo) with 10.18 but that only puts him eighth in the very strong UK rankings.

Jodie Williams (Christine Bowmaker) won the 100m in 11.14 which is inside her personal best, but the wind at 2.8mps was over the legal limits. Williams was second in the 200m in 23.12/-0.2, an event she tops the UK rankings in but was beaten by two metres by her namesake Bianca Williams (Lloyd Cowan) who won in a PB 22.93 and that puts her fourth in the Power of Ten rankings and again is inside British Athletics' European Championships standard of 23.10.

In the 1500m, European Junior 1500m finalist Shaun Wyllie smashed his PB with 3:41.43 to go top of the Power of Ten under-20 rankings and go well inside the World Junior qualifying mark.

World 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu (Lloyd Cowan) made an appearance for her club Newham and Essex Beagles was  second in 24.58 to Joey Duck (Matt Elias) who ran 24.13.

Andrew Osagie (Craig Winrow) was seventh in the 800m in 1:47.67 and former world champion Phillips Idowu (Gary Bourne) was ninth in the triple jump with 16.08/1.3. Anyika Onuora (Rana Reider) was sixth in the 200m in 23.33/-1.0.

British Grand Prix of Race Walking, York, June 8

Cameron Corbishley (Chris Hobbs) won the junior 10km walk in 47:36. Emma Achurch (Steve Arnold) won the junior women's 10km walk in 52:24. Tom Bosworth (Andi Drake) was fifth in the men's 20km walk. Heather Lewis (Martin Bell) won the women's 20km walk in a PB 99:58 which puts her sixth all time and second in the Power of Ten rankings. Commonwealth champion Johanna Atkinson (Maureen Jackson) dropped out.
