British Athletics today named an eight-strong team that will represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland at the 2015 European Cup Combined Events.

The team will compete in Aubagne, France on 4 – 5 July, 2015.

2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games medallists Ashley Bryant (coach: Ian Grant) and Jess Taylor (Mike Holmes) lead the way in the men’s and women’s selections.

There are also places for fellow Commonwealth Games competitors Jess Tappin (Julie Hollman), John Lane (Toni Minichiello) and Martin Brockman.

Also selected are Elise Lovell (Stephen King), Liam Ramsey (Mike Corden) and Jo Rowland (Minichiello).

GB & NI will take on defending champions Russia, Netherlands, Belarus, Estonia, Czech Republic and Ukraine in the Super League two day event.

The scores of each athlete from the same country will be added together to create a total score. Medals will be awarded in the individual competitions.

In 2014, GB & NI finished sixth overall with a total points score of 38,516 in Torun, Poland.
