Endurance athletes have been given until Thursday 18 January for the Senior Trials for the IAAF World Cross Country Championships to be staged in Mombasa, Kenya, on 24 March.

The Trials are being incorporated this winter in the BUSA Cross Country Championships at the University of Bath on Saturday 3 February in order to enable the Senior athletes selected for the Norwich Union Great Britain and Northern Ireland Team to prepare properly for the event in Kenya.

The first three eligible athletes to finish the Trial races will earn automatic selection. They will join pre-selections Mo Farah (Newham and Essex Beagles), the newly crowned European Cross Country Champion, Jo Pavey (Exeter Harriers) and Hayley Yelling (Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow AC), who also ran well at the Europeans in December.

For an entry form, athletes can go to view the entry details published in December.

Any questions can be addressed to Spencer Barden, UK Athletics Senior Coordinator for Endurance, at sbarden@ukathletics.org.uk
