The line up for the scottishathletics International Coaching Conference 2007 - 'Developing Potential to Performance' - has been announced, and features a number of World Class presenters.

The Conference on Saturday 17th November, supported by Bank of Scotland and the Dallas Trust, is being staged by scottishathletics following the success of the 2006 event, which featured legendary American Sprinter, Michael Johnson and top Paralympian Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson.

Included in those headlining the event will be current President of the European Athletic Coaches Association Dr Frank Dick OBE, also known for his role as Scottish National Coach, and Bruce Longden, former UK National Coach and mentor to Olympic Gold Medallists Daley Thompson and Sally Gunnell.

Keynote deliveries will also be presented from multiple GB Olympian Steve Backley OBE and the highly respected Fayyaz Ahmed - former international high jumper, and coach to Welsh record holder Julie Crane.

Ewen Cameron, Education and Development Manager, said: "scottishathletics is committed to providing world class learning opportunities for our coaches, and we are continually working to bring the very best of knowledge and experience to Scotland for the benefit and development of coaching."

Dr Frank Dick said: "Scotland has a proud history of world class athletics coaches and I am delighted to be invited to Glasgow to speak to the next generation of Scottish Coaches and to share my knowledge and experience. I commend scottishathletics for their commitment to supporting the development of coaches and am looking forward to being part of a World Class Conference in November"

Steve Backley added: "I am delighted to be involved with the scottishathletics International Coaching Conference and Bank of Scotland, and look forward to interacting with Scotland's coaches and athletes in November".
