Back To the Grind!

Hi guys,

Well what a week! After jumping a British record on Saturday at the World trials, and earning myself a cheeky bonus of $5000, (thanks to Aviva), it’s back into the grind of Loughborough preparing for my next meet. This will be in Crete on Monday 20th.

The trials is always an important meet on the schedule and for myself it was the first time jumping in front of a British crowd this summer, and so I had put extra pressure on myself to jump well for them, after starting a successful season.

Luckily the competition went well, with first time clearances at each of my heights up until 4.70m. Being on the home straight was an added bonus, and the crowd definitely helped. When you have the whole of the home straight clapping and willing you over the bar, there is nothing that can describe this feeling.

So next stop Crete, and then onto Crystal Palace where I hope to achieve another PB. Then I will do one more meet in Leverkusen (Germany) before heading onto Berlin where the fun and the real work begins.

See you soon!

Kate
