Hi there

Things have been really busy since I last updated you all, and the big news is I bought a house, in Bath about 20 minutes away from the University where I train.

So I’m trying to decorate it. It badly needed updating and a trip to IKEA is definitely on the cards, along with new doors, floors and some serious painting.

I finished my sport performance degree at Uni with a 2,1 so I'm pleased that's finished as it really did make me stressed and this impacted on training a lot.  But the grade is pretty good so no regrets.  I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with my time when I've finished the DIY though.

I'm doing lots of talks with schools and coaching days at the moment which I am really enjoying, so maybe I’ll plan a few more of those, after all sport is an amazing vehicle to get across the message of having fun and enjoying what you do.  And it's really nice to be able to inspire and give something back.

The other big news at the moment is that I am completely injury free (not wanting to tempt fate though!) I think the training group are already taking bets on how long this will last!  Training is going well and it's a big time of year as far as that is concerned and my coach is working everyone hard.  Hopefully there's a pretty crammed indoor season lined up. I can't wait to start racing again as I missed out on last year's indoor competitions, as I was still rehabbing from Beijing.

On top of all this I went on holiday for the first time since starting Uni three years ago!  Coach gave me two weeks off so I decided to be completely insane and went on a road trip through France which was great fun (even if something things didn't go quite according to plan).  Starting in Paris where I did the whole Eiffel Tower Notre Dame thing before heading off to Versailles for an amazing day out, eventually getting down to Millau to see the famous bridge.  The camper van only broke down once!  Anyway I'm still alive after all that, will catch up soon.
