Important News For Endurance Officials

Interim arrangements for licensing existing road, cross country and other endurance officials and race organisers / personnel are due to terminate at the end of December.  Anyone who is currently involved in the sport in any capacity, including acting as a volunteer at road races, who has not already applied for an UK Athletics Endurance Officials Licence is urged to do so.  The relevant Application For Grading Form can be downloaded from the link below.

Holding a UK Athletics Officials Licence provides additional benefits including personal accident insurance when officiating or travelling directly to or from events organised or recognised by UK Athletics and travel insurance when officiating abroad.  It also recognises and values their contribution to the sport.

The timescales for officials graded at Level 3 or above to undertake a Health and Safety Course has been extended to 31 December 2007. It is anticipated that a course capable of being delivered on-line, or otherwise undertaken at home, will be developed for those who prefer it.
