As in 2014, we decided to let you, the athletics fans, choose the anthem for each of the four teams competing at the Sainsbury’s Glasgow International Match. Taking place at the Emirates Arena on 24 January, the event will see Great Britain & Northern Ireland take on the home team, Scotland, as well as France and Germany in the four way tussle.

Over the weekend we reached out to our followers on Twitter & Facebook to get suggestions for each team’s anthem, which will be played every time one of their athletes takes victory.

After almost 100 suggestions on social media, the chosen songs are:

Great Britain & Northern Ireland: Mark Ronson – Uptown Funk ft. Bruno Mars
Scotland: Calvin Harris – Outside ft. Ellie Goulding
France: Daft Punk – Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
Germany: Nena – 99 Luftballons
