At the Shanghai leg of the Samsung Diamond League, Phillips Idowu beat world champion Christian Taylor to win the triple jump with a distance of 17.24m.
Barbara Parker ran an A standard time of 9:40.16 in the 3000m steeplechase to finish 8th.

At the USATF High Performance meeting, Eagle Rock, California Mo Farah achieved two A standards in 55 minutes.
He won the 1500m in 3:34.66. followed by the 5000m – 13:12.87 (the plan had been to just run a few laps at race pace but he ran all the way to the end to win)
