- Amends to process for levels one and two
- Enhanced flexibility on investigation processes.
- Factors considered for in-person Panel attendance.
UKA Chief Operating Officer Tom Solesbury said:
“The updated regulations will help ensure we maintain the strong work in this area alongside our Home Country colleagues. By remaining adaptive to changing circumstances and regularly reviewing the regulations we continue to strive for the highest standard of work across these processes.
“I would like to thank the safeguarding team for their work in this area, but also the wider sport on embracing these developments.
“In the last few years almost 30,000 coaches and officials have engaged with Safeguarding Training across tiers 1 and 2. This is a fantastic reflection of a sport that recognises the importance of this work.
“UKA remain committed to the highest standards of safeguarding within the sport, and we will continue to work and develop in this area to maintain this position.”
