Novuna UK Athletics Indoor Championships are now open and applications close on 4 February

Novuna UK Athletics Championships 2026 will open in Spring 2026

Novuna London Athletics Meet, part of the Wanda Diamond League at the London Stadium on Saturday 18th July 2026 will become available on https://portal.diamondleague.com in Spring 2026

Please note that any requests received after these deadlines may not be considered, and also note that UK Athletics reserves the right to decline applications for accreditation.

International Events

If you wish to apply for any European Athletics events you will need to apply via the event organisers directly. For World Athletics events the national governing body will given a code for media application which you will need to contact the UKA media team for.

Photography at events

Please take time to read the Terms & Conditions, and if applicable, the UKA Photographer Guidance, prior to applying. A confirmation email will be sent to all successful applicants at least 14 days before each event, if not before.

Volunteer Podium Photographer

UK Athletics is seeking a Volunteer Podium Photographer, a new initiative for a upcoming photographer to capture official medal‑ceremony images at its Indoor and Outdoor Championships. The rights‑free photos will be shared with all medallists after each event.

Each competition will feature a different volunteer photographer—either aspiring talent or experienced photographers transitioning into athletics—offering them hands‑on experience at major events.

The programme aims to open pathways into sports photography, raise media coverage of athletics, and ensure high-quality, athlete‑centred imagery.

Through this equitable appointment process, UKA also seeks to encourage diverse visual perspectives and authentic representation of all athletes within the sport.

Full candidate brief including how to get involved can be found here – Volunteer Podium Photographer Candidate Brief

If you are interested in getting involved for the Novuna UK Athletics Indoor Championships, please provide the following to Sally Skea at sskea@uka.org.uk by Friday 16 January 2026:

  1. A Letter of Intent stating why you wish to apply for the role and what you can offer to it
  2. Evidence of your relevant photography/portfolios (via weblinks) and social media feed links for quality assurance and suitability

This is a voluntary role with travel expenses covered and development opportunities provided.
