Mark is the Chief Operating Officer, having previously provided cover as the Interim CEO for 9 months.

From February 2021 he was the Development Director at UK Athletics and before that Chief Executive Officer and Board Director at Scottish Athletics Ltd (Team Scotland National Governing Body of the Year 2016, 2017 and 2019) for almost five years.

Mark is currently Board Member of sportscotland (National Agency for Sport in Scotland), and co-creator and Board Trustee of Athletics Trust Scotland.

Previous roles also include Board Director at Tennis Scotland, Head of Development at Scottish Athletics Ltd, a senior development role at the Scottish Football Association for seven years (2004-2011), and the head of sports development and a lecturer at the University of Abertay (1999-2004).
