The Recruitment Process

We aim to respond to all applications within one week of the closing date. However, during periods of high application volume this may take longer. If you have not heard from us within four weeks of the closing date, please assume that your application has not been successful on this occasion. Due to high levels of interest, we may close vacancies early. We therefore encourage you to apply as soon as possible if you are interested in a role.

UK Athletics follows a structured recruitment and selection process to ensure fairness and consistency for all candidates. Depending on the role, you may be asked to prepare a presentation or complete a task as part of the interview. Interviews are typically led by the hiring manager, with support from relevant colleagues. They usually last around one hour and include competency and behaviour-based questions and may be conducted remotely.

We aim to provide feedback within two working days of the final interview. If a decision is delayed, we will keep you informed and advise when you can expect an update.
