HOW DOES UKA USE MY SEX AND GENDER INFORMATION?
Although UKA may need to collect certain information around sex and gender recognition in the context of performance, competitions, safeguarding and welfare (depending on your age and status, for example as a coach or athlete), that is not the purpose of the information being collected here. The data that is collected here is simply for statistical and analytics use, although – depending on your role (for example as a coach or official) – please be aware that your sex and gender information, including your legally recognised sex, may also be used for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining DBS checks. You will however have the opportunity to update your information routinely, including as part of any periodic DBS renewal.

Where your information (including potentially sensitive information) may need to be collected by UKA for other purposes, such as competition, performance, medical support and welfare, this will be clearly explained and notified to you at the time, including via appropriate privacy notices.
