Safeguarding Decisions, & Case Outcomes

UK Athletics has exclusive jurisdiction over all safeguarding cases in athletics. These are cases involving harm and risk of harm to children (those under 18) and adults at risk, as described more fully in the Safeguarding Regulations and UKA Safeguarding Policies.

In relation to disciplinary cases and coach/officials licencing, jurisdiction is split between UK Athletics and the Home Country Athletics Federations (HCAFs). Please contact UK Athletics or the HCAFs if you require further information.

UK Athletics may publish details of any safeguarding or disciplinary action taken, including publication of any decision made by the UKA independent Safeguarding Panel or Disciplinary Panel. These can be accessed by following the link below.

UK Athletics has no governance oversight role of HCAFs and therefore decisions made by HCAF disciplinary panels are not published here. For any questions about the role of HCAFs in discipline/welfare matters, please contact the relevant HCAF.
