Victoria

Hi, I’m Victoria. I started athletics when I was 8 and having realised my talents may lie away from competing, (apart from the odd half marathon!), I moved into coaching.

I started coaching with my Children in Athletics licence when I was 14 and have since qualified as a Level 2 Sprints coach. I coached at Slough Junior AC for 4 years, working mainly with U11s on multi event training. Since joining Bath University, I coach at the local club there; helping to implement and run their 365 academy training groups for junior athletes, as well as helping out at Slough during holiday breaks.

Having been selected for the YAG I am really keen to use the opportunity to get more young people involved in athletics in whatever they want to be, whether this be competing, officiating, coaching or organising as well as retaining those that are currently involved. Especially with the enthusiasm created following the London Olympics this is a great opportunity to get more people involved and enjoying athletics.
