Whilst Paula Radcliffe prepares for this weekend’s New York Marathon, another GB&NI athlete has achieved a qualifying time for the Beijing Olympic marathon.

Thomas Abyu (Salford) finished second in the Dublin marathon on Monday in an Olympic qualifying time of 2.10.37 sending him to the top of the Power of 10 rankings.

Susan Partridge (Leeds) was 4th place in the women’s race in 2.38.33, putting her in 5th place in the Power of 10.
