Asafa Powell has confirmed he is fit and ready to fight in the 100m showdown at Crystal Palace on Friday.

The former World record holder is headlining the London Grand Prix alongside Tyson Gay as the two men line up in the 100m.

Despite pulling up during the 100m in the Golden League at Rome last week, Powell has confirmed it was merely cramp and is in full training in preparation for Friday’s races.

As well as Powell and Gay, current World record holder Usain Bolt lines up in the 200m and has promised the spectators “something special” in the Saturday afternoon final.
