World Youth gold medallist Katarina Johnson Thompson (Liverpool Harriers) and Olympic decathlete Daniel Awde (Woodford Green and Essex Ladies) are among the sixteen-strong team that will travel to the Combined Events International in Bompas, France on 6-7 March.
The under 20 and under 23 teams, made up of four men and women from each age group, will look to kick off their 2010 international campaigns positively after a hard season of winter training.
Johnson-Thompson, who shares the same coach as World Champion Jessica Ennis, returns to the international stage following an outstanding heptathlon performance which earned her gold at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Bressanone, Italy in 2009.
Experienced representatives Lucy Boggis (Shaftesbury Barnet) and Caryl Granville (Carmarthen) return to Great Britain and Northern Ireland competition, following successful outings in 2009 which saw both place highly in the UK rankings.
Youngsters Alice Lennox (City of Stoke), Jack Andrew (Sale) and David Guest (Bridgend) began their respective 2010 indoor season well; Lennox and Andrews with a wins at the England U20 Combined Events Championships and Guest with a 200m personal best at the Welsh Senior Championships.
