Team Update: Ben Gregory (Alan Richardson) will replace Daniel Awde within the men’s team.

 

As multi-events talent in the UK continues to flourish UKA today announced the Aviva Great Britain & Northern Ireland team bound for the European Cup Combined Events Super League competition in Tallinn, Estonia on 26-27 June 2010.

In an experienced men’s team, headed up by Olympian Daniel Awde (coach: Greg Richards), Ed Dunford (Ed Dunford Snr) and Kevin Sempers (Ian Grant) return to the international stage.

They are joined by Roger Skedd who set a new decathlon personal best this year at the University Student South Africa Championships in Potchefstroom.

Aviva GB&NI regular Phyllis Agbo (coach: Darrell Bunn) makes the team for her first international of the year following her outing at the highly regarded Combined Events meeting in Gotzis, Austria, where she lined up alongside World Heptathlon Champion Jessica Ennis.

She is joined by experienced multi-eventer Grace Clements (coach: Julie Hollman) who has shown form both indoors and outdoors this year with personal bests in the 60 m hurdles and javelin.

 Louise Wood (coach: Julie Hollman) is climbing the McCain Power of Ten rankings following personal bests in the 800m, shot, 60m hurdles, high jump and long jump already this year, and currently sits in fifth place.
