The Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland Team took home two medals from the IAU World Trail Challenge in the French Alpine resort of Serre Chevalier on Sunday.

Former World Mountain Running champion Angela Mudge took silver in the women’s race behind Italy’s Cecilia Mora. Mudge was closely followed by team-mate Lizzy Hawker who took bronze.

In the men’s race, Thomas Lorblanchet claimed victory for the host nation, Andy Rankin was the top Brit in 7^th with Allen Smalls 17^th.
