Chambers Climbs Mont Blanc

01 October 2013

Last year, Dwain Chambers was enjoying the benefits of warm weather training in the sunny climes of Jamaica, but fast forward to 2013 and the 35 year old has just completed a seven day trek up to the top of the highest mountain in Western Europe – Mont Blanc.

The 2010 World Indoor 60m champion scaled an eye-watering 4810m (15,771ft) in aid of Teens Unite, which looks to improve the lives of young people with cancer and other life limiting illnesses.

Chambers was supported along the way by Fabio from Dream Guides and was quite astonished by the magnitude of his achievement.

“People train for months to do that and Dwain did it just under a week. Dwain went right to edge and most normal people would have just turned back, but he showed a character and determination that I haven’t seen before. It was a real privilege to work with Dwain on this climb."
