Click Your Clock Shortlisted As A Finalist For 'sports Innovation Award' At Sport Business Awards

Runbritain’s Click Your Clock campaign has this week been announced as a finalist for the ‘Sports Innovation Award’ ahead of the Sports Business Awards gala in July.

The awards ceremony, set to take place on Friday 2 June at The Brewery, London, will see a host of awards presented for categories ranging from ‘Best Mass Participation Event’ to ‘Best Operations Team’, with Click Your Clock earning its spot as a finalist following great strides of progression since its inception back in 2010.

Since launching the handicap sub-program under the guise of Click Your Clock in March 2015, runbritain has seen over 70,000 members claim for their unique handicap score, with the added incentive of a prize being given to the 10 most improved runners across a range of abilities at the end of specified months of the year.

The competition aspect of Click Your Clock (also commonly referred to as #clickyourclock), that runs from late spring to early autumn, has been designed to promote the handicap scoring system, which, itself, has been designed to support the runner’s transition into racing and continuous progression towards individual running targets and goals.

With numbers rising towards 1000 plus runners entering each week, it is a programme which continues to grow and is used as a pathway for enjoyment by many, while in September of last year, Click Your Clock also won the prize for Innovation at the biennial European Athletics Golden Tracks awards ceremony.
