European Athletics Coaches Association Conference – Glasgow

scottishathletics have announced that they will be hosting the prestigious European Athletics Coaches Association (EACA) Conference in 2008. Planning for the event has been ongoing over the past few months in partnership with EACA and UK Athletics and the formal handover ceremony was conducted on Sunday 4 November at the 2007 Conference in Moscow. 

The Conference, which will be launched formally in early 2008, will be held in Glasgow from 31 October to 2 November 2008 and will incorporate the scottishathletics International Coaching Conference. The Conference will feature a number of world class, internationally respected speakers, and is expected to sell out fast, with delegates travelling from across Europe to attend the weekend.

This event will be the highlight of the European Athletics Coaching Calendar and it is a fantastic opportunity for Scottish and British coaches to attend yet another world class event on their own doorstep. Delegates at the 2007 scottishathletics International Coaching Conference will be able to guarantee their place for the 2008 event with a special booking window which will be opened exclusively to them, ahead of general bookings. England Athletics East & London Region Coaching Conference – Lee Valley 

England Athletics East and London Region are holding their first joint Coaching Conference on 8 December 2007, at the Lee Valley High Performance Centre.

The Conference will bring together some of the finest coaching minds in the country for a varied day of keynote speeches, workshops and a coaching forum.

As in February this year as many of the sessions as possible will be filmed and made available as soon after the conference as possible on DVD.

Lunch is provided and notes will be available from the workshops.

Places are being booked up fast and with a limit of 200 places application need to made early!
