Colquhoun 12th On International Debut

10 November 2008

Late addition to the Norwich Union Great Britain & Northern Ireland Team, Lucy Colquhuon (Carnethy Hill Racing Club) justified her call up with a fine 12th place finish at the IAU World Cup and European Championship 100k in Tarquinia, Italy on Saturday 8 November.

Colquhoun, who had stepped in after the withdrawal of former World Champion Lizzy Hawker, finished in 08:09:27. Team mate Emma Gooderham (Malvern Joggers) finished 13th in 08:10:03 and Trentham RC runner Adela Salt placed 39th, with a time of 09:20:13.

It was a bittersweet day however, as the combined results left the women’s team just outside the medals for the European team rankings, in 4th place.

Jeremy Bragg (unattached) was the sole representative for GB & NI in the men’s race, who unfortunately did not finish. For full results, click here.
