Comeback Trail Continues For Lyne

20 September 2007

Becky Lyne moved to 5th in the Power of 10 1500m rankings last night when she won at the Pedro Cup meet in Warsaw, Poland.

Lyne who missed the recent World Championships withdrawing from the British team when not fully fit, lead from start-to-finish won despite poor weather conditions, in an impressive four minutes 09.06seconds.

The performance suggests Lyne is returning to top form after a calf injury wrecked her hopes of competing in the 800m for the Norwich Union GB & NI team in Osaka.

Lyne who set her personal best of 4min 06.85sec last summer, finished ahead of Anna Rostkowska and Sonja Roman who who clocked 4min 13.33sec and 4min 13.81sec.
