British Athletics today confirmed that Jessica Coulson (coach: Mick Woods) has been added to its team for the half marathon Team Cup at the European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 6-10 July.

Coulson, the 2015 British half marathon champion, replaces Scotland’s Susan Partridge (Steve Jones) on the team, who has withdrawn due to fitness concerns.

“I am grateful for this opportunity and excited to compete at my first major summer championships,” said Coulson.  “I hope to put in a great performance for the team in Amsterdam and I wish Susan all the best with her return to full fitness.”

The full British Athletics squad for the European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam will be announced following the British Athletics Olympic Trials on the 24–26 June 2016.
