DISCIPLINARY AND APPEAL PANELS CONFIRM INDEFINITE SUSPENSION FOR CHRISTOPHER BLACK

UK Athletics can confirm the outcome of a disciplinary case involving former Olympic hammer thrower and coach Chris Black.

In September 2024, an independent disciplinary panel found that Mr Black had committed multiple breaches of the UKA Coach Licence Scheme and Code of Conduct, including serious misconduct involving a former athlete. The panel imposed an indefinite suspension from all athletics activity including coaching.

Mr Black appealed the findings. However, following a further independent hearing in April 2025, the appeal panel dismissed the appeal and upheld the original decision in full.
