Early Success For Brits In Taipei

John McFall and Nathan Stephens led the way with early GB success at the IWAS World Wheelchair and Amputee Games.

McFall finished 1st in the 100m final (T42) in 12.83, whilst Stephens was 3rd in the discus (F57) with a PB mark of 36.88m.

With temperatures exceeding 33 degrees, athletes have benefited from the recent preparation camp in Macau to turn in strong results against opponents they will face at next years Paralympics.

Other GB performance highlights include 4th positions for Josie Pearson (100m T52), Anne Wafula Strike (100m T54), Andrew Martin (F40 Shot Put) and Ben Stringer (F57 Discus).
