England Athletics Marathon Coaching Conference

England Athletics’ Marathon Coaching Conference will take place on 2-3 April 2011 at the University of Warwick.
The event, which brings together a number of influential and successful names in endurance running, will provide a great opportunity for coaches to learn more about preparing athletes for successful marathon performances.
Keynote speakers and workshop leaders include:

George Gandy: UKA National Event Coach for Endurance;

Steve Jones: British coach and UK record holder – formerly a World Record holder – for the marathon, now based at altitude in Colorado (USA);

Dr Barry Fudge: UKA/EIS Exercise Physiologist who has studied the environmental factors leading to the success of elite East African athletes and provides specialist support to the UKA/London Marathon Altitude Training Camps;

Bud Baldaro: England Athletics National Coach Mentor (Endurance – 10k and above)

Dave Moorcroft: former World and British Record holder for 5k;

Tracey Morris: Great Britain marathon representative in the Athens Olympic Games (2004) having famously progressed from a fun runner to an international standard athlete
