28 August 2012

With just one day to go to the London 2012 Paralympic Games and following a successful Women’s coaching conference at the Aviva Birmingham Grand Prix, there are further coach development opportunities on offer in the UK with an impressive roll call of world class speakers.

UKA are pleased to announce that bookings for the second edition of the European Sprints and Hurdles Conference, hosted by UKA and England Athletics, are now open.

This event, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday the 10-11 November at the University of Warwick, forms part of the European Athletics Coaching Summit Series.

Richard Wheater, UKA’s Coaching Event Manager said, "We are pleased to announce the opening of bookings for the second edition of the European Sprints and Hurdles Conference.

“Two years ago we proudly hosted the first conference nr Heathrow in London and this year we are bringing the event to the midlands. We have a fantastic line up of speakers and have been able to keep the costs affordable for coaches to attend. We have put on a programme of activity of relevance to both coaches of developing athletes as well as coaches of more elite athletes. We will announce the timetable shortly.

“This year, the cost of the conference includes dinner on the Saturday evening which will be an informal opportunity to network with hundreds of coaches from across Europe. Accommodation is also very affordable. Events such as these mark our ongoing commitment to coach development with coaching at the heart of the sport. We look forward to welcoming you to Warwick University in November.”
