Further Results From The IWAS Games

There was further success at the Pan-Chiao Stadium in Taipei with Sophie Hancock (F40) setting a European record in the discus with 21.54m

 

In temperatures hitting 37 degrees, other key results included first place for John McFall (T42) in the 200m and David Gale taking third in the combined F51/52/53 Discus with 8.84m.

 

There were also fourth places for Josie Pearson (T52 200m and T52 800m) and Victoria Silk (F40/46 Discus).

 

Tomorrow’s events include Danny Greaves in the F44/F46 discus, Nathan Stephens in his strongest event the shot put (F57/F58), wheelchair athletes in finals including Brian Alldis (1500m), and a strong F40 shot put contingent including current European record holder Kim Minett and Sophie Hancock.
