World champions Sophie Hahn (coach: Joe McDonnell), Sophie Kamlish (Rob Ellchuk) and Stef Reid (Aston Moore) will be among a host of athletes competing in Newham at the British Athletics Parallel Success meeting on Sunday (24 June).

With just over two months to go until August’s WPA European Championships, many of those in action will continue their preparations in London.

Five-time world gold medallist Hahn will focus solely on the 200m – an event she holds the world record in – while world long jump T44 champion Reid will take on both the long jump and 200m; she started her season with a leap of 5.20m in Bedford back in May.

World champion Kamlish will compete in the ambulant 100m, competing in her third outdoor race of the season.

Richard Chiassaro (Jenni Banks) and Kare Adenegan (Job King) will both have a busy afternoon, competing in four events: the 100m, 400m, 800m and 1500m.

Chiassaro has been in sensational form this year settingT54 European records in the 400m and 800m in Nottwil, Switzerland, last month to add to the 1500m record he set last year. The time the 36-year-old set in the 800m was also a world record at the time, which has since been lowered by the USA’s Daniel Romanchuk, showing the competitive nature of the event so far this year.

Paralympic and world medallist Kare Adenegan will also compete in four events in Newham as the 17-year-old continues her European preparations having set her quickest 800m time of her career earlier this month. She has a busy schedule ahead at the event, going in the 100m, 400m, 800m and 1500m.

World T34 800m bronze medallist Isaac Towers returns to competition after exams, taking on the 100m, 400m and 800m as he builds up preparations for the showpiece championships of the year in August.

JohnBoy Smith (Jenny Archer) also goes on the track after claiming silver in the T54 marathon wheelchair at the Commonwealth Games. Smith will compete in the 400m, 800m and 1500m in Newham.

Jordan Howe (Christian Malcolm), David Henson (Roger Keller), Laura Sugar (Joe McDonnell) and Eve Walsh-Dann (Roger Sexton) will double-up across the two sprints distances of 100m and 200m. World medallists Howe (T35 100m) and Henson (T42 200m) begin with the ambulant 100m at 11:10am.

After his excellent performance on the Gold Coast in April, Commonwealth T47 100m silver medallist James Arnott (Ryan Freckleton) will also take to the start line in the 100m.

2015 world T28 400m champion Shaun Burrows (Joe McDonnell) will run in only his second race of the year in the 200m as he continues his comeback after injury, while Luke Sinnott (Roger Keller) will take to the runway in the long jump alongside world junior champion Karim Chan (Femi Akinsanya).

F34 shot putter Vanessa Wallace (Alison O’Riordan) returns to Newham looking to make it a hat-trick of wins having been victorious for the last two years.
