Hi

Well, here I am – just a few days after my final pre-Olympic competition. In case you didn’t see I had a good competition on Saturday at the Aviva London Grand Prix – taking second place behind Germany’s Christina Obergfoll. Obergfoll is ranked second in the world right now – and I’m at 6th so it was a good marker of where I’m at and now I can start to look at some other things – like packing.

Packing

I haven’t started yet – I leave for the Pre-Olympic holding camp at Macau a week tomorrow, and I’m going to start putting my things in place. An Ipod – of course is essential, and I’ll be sure to take some DVDs – I’d love to take the boxed set of series six of the series 24 but I’m not sure if I’ll get it in time. Needless to say DVDs are great and you can swap with other athletes – in fact I rely on what others bring with them also!

I also need to visit a good book shop before I go, I’ve a few favourites that I don’t mind reading again – like the book Tuesdays with Morrie. I’ll also take my laptop – its important to not let boredom get the better of you.
