UK Athletics has recently awarded training grants to eight talented coaches to give them the chance to develop their skills yet further.

Recipients of the Norwich Union Elite Coach Developing Grant are Darrell Maynard, John Powell, Glenys Morton, Norman Poole, Neville Marshall, Jenny Archer, Ayo Falola and James McKenna.

The awards are part of the wider UK Athletics coaching strategy. UK Athletics Performance Director Dave Collins said: "We are not necessarily rewarding someone who happens, by luck, to have a very talented athlete.
